You are the month where we begin

Our year end review

And as we look back at all that we've

come through

Help us forgive ourselves and other's

For the things we can't undo

To old dreams may you give us

new courage to pursue

And for lovers who's romantic hearts have died

Something To Tuck Under Your Pillow: Be Still And Know...

Hello again beloveds,

How was your day? You know, Wednesday's are called "hump day" for a reason. And if your day was anything like mine, depending on what side of the globe you're reading this from, you're probably just glad it's over now. 

I woke up today with so much weighing on my heart and mind. No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't seem to pull it together. And I ended up having a pretty emotional, energy all over the place, difficulty finding my focus, feeling so out of balance kinda day.  

But at the end of the day, after putting my daughter to bed, I finally had a moment to myself. So I used that time to sit down and do my journal writing and have my quality quiet time with God as I do every night. And rather than venting to God about all the complaints I had about things gone wrong or not yet going as I would like, I chose instead to express gratitude for all the things that God has already worked out for me. 

I chose instead to write down in my gratitude journal all the things I could think of that I really appreciated and recognized as blessings that happened throughout my day despite how my day began. And when I finished writing to God my gratitude list instead of my list of complaints I heard this:

"Be still and know that I AM God.....
Be still and know that I AM your true Source....
Be still and know that I AM your true Substance.....
Be still and know that I AM your true Supplier....
Be still and know that I AM your true Supply.....

Be still and know that I AM your true Provider....
Be still and know that I AM your true Peace.....
Be still and know that I AM your true Protector....
Be still and know that I AM your true Prosperity....
Be still and know that I AM the answer and fulfillment
of all your Prayers....

Be still and know that I AM with you....
Be still and know that I AM for you....
Be still and know how much I Love you....
Be still and know how infinitely much you mean to me....

Be still and know that I AM yours and you beloved
will eternally be mine....
Be still and know I will NEVER leave you....
Be still and know I will NEVER forsake you....
Be still and know I will NEVER abandon you....

Be still and know through it all I will always be there....
Be still and know I AM working all things together 
for your good....
Be still and know...
Be still and know....
Be still and know.....All is well."

And after hearing that and writing it down I simply closed my journal and said....Wow....Thank you God!!!

Sunday's Food For Thought: After the Rain - A Poem For The Brokenhearted

The rain fell hard, 

like diamonds from the sky

As if the clouds just needed

to have a really good cry

Standing there, 

gazing out my window

I released a deep sigh

As I marveled at the perfect work

of our Holy Creator, 

The Most High

Yet, in the background,

just a short distance

across town

I could see the sun still shining
through a rainbow,

As the loud rumble of thunder

began to calm down

While still standing there

looking out my window,

A revelation of spirit

came over me

What some might call 

a spiritual epiphany

Either way,

 it was a moment

of clarity

Where suddenly...I was able

to vividly see

How the same truth about

that storm of nature,

also applied to the situation

I was going through

So I wrote this poem

to show how it applies

to you too

You see,

after the storms in life

that leaves you feeling

deep pain...

After the tears you cry

that falls from your eyes

like heavy rain...

Know that the light and love

of God in you and around you,

is like a rainbow 

of peace and hope

that will always remain

I originally began writing this poem two years ago and was led in spirit to finish it tonight to share with you. It was inspired by a personal situation, I had been going through for awhile at the time I began writing it, that I am currently just on the other side of God bringing me out of. It took five years for God to finally free me fully of that situation. Yet, that duration of time had far less to do with God's ability to deliver me from it and much more to do with the fact that it took that long for me to finally surrender the situation to God and allow him to deliver me from it.

So I dedicate this poem to every woman, every person, every soul like me that has endured, or is currently enduring, the healing process of a deeply wounded and broken heart. That, also like the personal experience I went through that inspired this poem, has left you feeling like an emotional hurricane has ripped through your life leaving behind all its toxic, negative, pain-filled debris for you to pick up the shattered pieces of your heart and figure out how to rebuild and love again. What I want to share with you most that I have come to learn from my personal, first hand experience of such a life storm as this, is that:

Although is may be hard to feel or see it right now...God is with you...and so is his Love. With that said, I encourage you to do as I did. Let his love for you, that is a love like no other, be the solace that comforts you through the storm, the promise of your new beginning, and the certainty that if you trust him you will indeed heal...and love again.

Sunday's Food For Thought:A Prayer Poem For World Unity & Peace

Dear God,

We're in desperate need of your help.
Here our prayer's and answer us speedily Lord
Order our steps. Show us what's right and correct all wrongs.
Here the call of your people and show yourself strong.

Let the darkness that has cast upon the earth soon pass away,
like the heavy could's that dissipate's after a long stormy day.
Save your children Lord. Deliver us all from ourselves and each other.
Help us to see that in your eyes we are all one human family...
sister 's and brother's.

Heal our hearts from all the hurting,
mend the scares and wounds.
Most importantly Lord, put a stop to all the violence.
Let it be over soon.

Fill this earth with your peace Most High,
the peaceful calm of a dove...
Align our minds with your divine mind Lord,
And raise our thoughts from hate to Love.

Loyal To Love:My End-Dependence Day Poem

 Yesterday was my personal 

End-Dependence Day...

The end of me giving my power away....

The day I decided my self-worthiness

I will no longer betray

Yesterday I took a Big Bold stand....

Covering my heart with 

my right hand....

I vowed to no longer

depend on other's,

especially a man

To satisfy my emotional needs

the way only God can

So with my dignity and integrity

in tacked, 
to the universe I made new command....

The respect I've always deserved

from other's
I no longer ask for,
I now demand

Yesterday, I conferred with my 

inner Goddess,

and we unanimously agree....

I will no longer dim my light

for the sake of someone

 else's insecurity....

To compensate for another person's

emotional immaturity....

Nor out of fear and worry about 

other's opinions, judgments, 

and rejection or acceptance of me....

Because none of these things

serve my well-being or honor 

my authenticity

Yesterday I forgave every person

who has ever caused me hurt,

or treated me unlovingly....

And today, I woke up with a deep

sense of peace,

feeling whole, complete

and totally free....

Now with my heart restored

to its natural state of purity....

I make this pledge of allegiance,

to that which matters most to me....

A vow of commitment and loyalty

I hereby vow to be loyal 

to myself through sickness and health....

Poverty and wealth

Loyal to the divine agenda
 and song of my soul....
The part of me that lives eternally,
and never grows old

Loyal to the desires of my heart

that I've been dreaming of....

Loyal to God....Loyal to Love

Something To Tuck Under Your Pillow: A Dream of Love

 I have a dream....

that the universal language of love

 will be spoken by all and deeply felt....

All walls of resistance to love

 will come crumbling down, 

and all frozen hearts will melt....

I have a dream....

that the message of love

 I was born to bring....

Will be a beautiful song 

every soul will sing....

And love will no longer be taken 

for granted or seen,

as a quick fix you can get 

any day of the week,

from a common casual fling....

Love will instead be recognized, honored

 and cherished as a sacred

 spiritual thing....

And the power of love will

 once again reign supreme,

and the fears and false beliefs about love

 the mind of man will no longer cling....

Yes, I have a dream....

that my poems of love will be

a healing balm to the broken-hearted 

sparking a ripple effect 

of vibrational energy....

Compelling wounded souls

 to draw nearer to God,

no matter what their race or religious

 practices may be....

I have a dream....

that the words that pour forth from 

my mouth each day....

and the meditations of my heart 

will be acceptable to God

as I kneel down and pray....

Dear God, please use my talents and gifts 

in such a unique way....

That each Inspirational Love Note I write

will clearly convey....

That You are the potter and 

I am the clay....

This is my written vision of love,

made plain and clear today....

That it shall come to pass;

It shall not delay....

Yes, I have have a dream....

And the vision I'm dreaming of....

Is that all my creative bodies of work will

uplift, empower, encourage, and inspire,

the heart of humanity to return to Love.

As moonlight in the sky,

now shines so bright....

I pray that you sleep 

well tonight....

However the day,

did unfold....

A new beginning,

tomorrow holds....

So leave your worries

and cares in God's hands....

And trust in the perfection

of His Master Plan....

Let nothing disturb the

peaceful calm of your soul....

Rest in God's love,

and He will make you whole....

As Angel's stand guard,

round your bed out of

physical sight....

May you have sweet dreams,

Let nothing...No One...No Thought...No Thing...

keep me feeling depressed, oppressed, 

or hold me down.

Peaceful Grace: A Poem for the Citizens of Ferguson, Missouri

 

Dear God, 

Your people are in turmoil and desperately

 need to heal...

From centuries of long-suffering,

and pain they deeply feel...

And while no one can deny

 the history of injustice

that's been endured is real...

Help us dear Lord,

to find a better way to address 

this tragic ordeal... 

Instead of fueling the fire 

of anger and rage,

For your protection and grace

Lord, let us appeal...

Give us the wisdom and resolve Lord

to turn from violence, 

bow our heads, 

and kneel...

Then united as one in Spirit

Let us pray, 

Father...Peace Be Still!

Dedicated to the citizens of Ferguson, Missouri, and our entire nation, that has suffered far too long from such repeated and senseless acts of violence and injustice. I pray that as a people and a nation we cease the violence and learn to live together in peace, harmony, and Love.

Choosing to Change Your Life

Are you unhappy with the quality of your life? Have you been struggling to figure out how to get from where you are to the life you really want? Well, the road to changing your life begins with having a new vision for your life and making different choices that will rewrite the next chapter of your life story.

The most effective way to use your power of choice, that will cause a domino effect leading to your end goal of changing your life into the life you really want, begins with changing your perspective about your life. 

Here's how changing your perspective leads to changing your life:

Changing your perspective causes a shift in consciousness.
A shift in consciousness produces a change in self-limiting beliefs.
A change in beliefs evokes a change in attitude.

A change in attitude inspires you to break bad habits.
Breaking bad habits leads to discontinuing self-sabotaging behavior patterns.
Discontinuing self-sabotaging behavior patterns increases better judgment.

Better judgment encourages better choices.
Better choices attracts more desirable, fulfilling experiences.
More desirable, fulfilling experiences awakens true happiness.
True happiness points the way to deeper, lasting, genuine joy.

Genuine joy gives birth to inner peace.
Inner Peace comes from being your authentic self.
Being your authentic self frees you to follow your heart's desires.

Following your heart unfolds the path to your life purpose.
Living in alignment with your life purpose automatically opens the way to living life more abundantly.

Living a more abundant life means, having greater health, wealth, happiness, joy, and love.
Greater health, wealth, happiness, joy, and love allows you to live the life you really want.

Living the life you really want is the true measure and meaning of success. 
Achieving true success begins with changing your perspective. 
Changing your perspective simply requires invoking your power of choice.

Shift Your Perspective and Shift Your Life

Are you praying for a miracle or waiting for a breakthrough? Well...it's not just up to God to make it happen. It's up to you too. God can only give to you what YOU allow to come THROUGH you. 

Sometimes we block our blessings by blocking our hearts from being open and receptive to receive the good that's divinely ours. God has already made our good readily available for us in the Spirit realm. So His end of the deal is already done.

But you can't have an open heart to receive the divine good that awaits you while maintaining a closed mind.

You have to be willing to let go of negative thoughts and resistance to change your perspective. You have to be willing to see things from a different point of view.

Perhaps a shift in consciousness is the only thing really standing between where you are and where you wanna be. It just may be the key to unlocking and unleashing your blessings.
