An Inspirational Love Note on Spiritual Wisdom (Dedicated to the Brutha's)
1 Kings 3:5-11 tells the story of how God came to King Solomon through a dream granting him the opportunity to ask for whatever he wanted. Yet, instead of asking for riches, long life & material gain. Solomon only asked God to give him an understanding heart and discernment to have right judgment over the people in his kingdom. God was so pleased with King Solomon's request to ask only for wisdom that He not only gave him the wisdom he asked greater than none like him before. God also gave him all the riches, honor and long life with only one condition that King Solomon keep Gods commandments,... i.e. keep God first in his life.
So as you continue to diligently work to overcome the unique yet unfortunate struggles, challenges, and obstacles our current economy and society force you to face daily. In all your getting I encourage you to take a moment to do as King Solomon and instead of asking God for riches, more money and material gain...ask God to grant you the Wisdom that comes from an understanding discerning heart so that you too can make right judgment. Doing so will extend your blessings far greater than any amount of monetary wealth or material possessions. How so you ask? Because as Lauryn Hill so simply yet eloquently put it in her song "Lost Ones" from her highly successful and deeply profound debut solo album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill", ..."Wisdom is better than silver and gold".
For with an understanding heart and discernment of spiritual wisdom, you will have far greater ability to know the right choices to make, the right opportunities to take and the right direction and path to go that of your own intellectual mind alone you will not know. Asking God for the blessing of spiritual wisdom then trusting in it and learning to lean on it rather than your own understanding, will cause you to be led in the right place at the right time. Additionally, you will find yourself suddenly connecting with the right people to help manifest lucrative opportunities that will begin to flow to you in golden streams of good & plenty. Avalanches of abundance will begin to attract and flow to you to such a magnitude in which your barns will not have room to hold.
So my dear beloved brutha's, my heart goes out to you in this message because I have watched and grown in my understanding of your plight and fight my entire life. I have seen it in all of you from my father to my biological brothers...uncles...mates and platonic male friends alike. As a result of my deep compassion for the personal struggles that, as a black man in America, you experience in a way that no other man on this earth does. I have shed countless tears of empathy for you and prayed without ceasing for your continued strength, hope and renewed faith in God. Additionally, I have asked God daily to show me what I as your female counterpart can do to uplift you, encourage you and be a greater beacon of light for you.
Today my brutha's, God answered my prayer by inspiring me to use my God given gift, talent, passion and ability to creatively express myself and His message of Spiritual Truth with you through the message shared with you in this Inspirational Love Note. Despite the appearance of lack or limitation in any area of your lives... Go forth with pride and dignity. Instead of chasing money and material possessions keep God first in all things and chase after greater understanding of His Word...His Ways...and His Purpose for your life.
With a heart overflowing in genuine Love & Light 4 U....Be encouraged and know that you are a "Black Diamond".

Black Diamond
Beyond his…exterior toughness…
His…outer layers of roughness
I see, a beautiful and precious, rare gem
Although there’s so much more to learn about him
Cause he’s full of originality
So it takes time to learn his complex personality
Then still, you will never truly understand
The walking enigma known as the black man
I…see you every day and I…swear each time you come my way
My spirit is lifted higher…I’m left, feeling so deeply inspired
Black Diamond you set my soul on fire
And the energy of your masculinity is all that I desire
So don’t, ever feel you need to change…
Nothing about you I would rearrange
Just keep being beautiful sexy you…
And to your soul always be true
And please keep doing that…thing you do
when we do what we do like only you can do
You’re my…partner, my lover, my brutha, my boo
And I’m so grateful to God for your creation that…
no matter what we go through…
I have unshakable belief and faith in you
The smile you wear daily cannot disguise
The deeply rooted pain I see when I look in your eyes
which…I’ve been told…
are the windows to the heart of a man’s soul
So you…drink to numb the pain and remove the stress
Or sometimes to gain the courage
to get what you have to say off your chest
But…I digress
cause…even when you’re not at your personal best
you still stand out from the rest
So with you I will always be impressed
And I…pity the fool’s who passed you by
under-estimating your worth
Yet I wonder, if I let my holy water saturate into your earth…
Will it be enough to heal the pain of your past
and cause in you a rebirth?
To the passion for love & life I’m sure you once felt inside
that somehow appears to have died
So I thank God for blessin’ me
with the gift of insight that makes it so easily
To look beyond the surface and clearly see
That you’re a…Black Diamond…a rare gem stone
And I…go into an erotic zone
each time I smell your Polo Black cologne
Damn Black Diamond! You turn me on
From your size 12 Tim’s, to your 22 inch Rim’s
And the way you somehow
make an aphrodisiac out of smokin’ a Black & Mild
You’re authentic…the real deal
From your Will Smith charisma to your Denzel sex appeal
And that you’ve got hands down…real talk…
Only man on earth that’s got swagger in his walk
Like rhythm & blues, you’re a total package all intertwined
And it’s always an honor to call you mine

Raise your level of consciousness…I mean elevate your mind
I wanna use my spiritual favor with God
to pay off your karmic debts and dues
Cause even as a strong black woman
I could never walk a mile in your shoes
Cause the cross you inherited
weigh’s you down tryin’ to carry it
So I dare a man of any other race
to rise to the challenge of tryin’ to take your place
Cause when I look at you I marvel at my own reflection
Feel so safe when I’m embraced in your arms of protection
Always fulfilled as the recipient of your love & affection

Regardless of…money, education, or any other worldly limitation
you’re creative and resourceful…
Sometimes a bit cocky, other times remorseful

You’re stronger than steal, with unparalleled drive, focus and will
Proud as a lion yet, sometimes gentle and shy
But more man than ever when you’re not ashamed to cry

A Brief Moment of Clarity
For just a brief moment, I had a flash of intuition where I was able to see myself and my talents as God sees me and all that He has in store for me that’s yet to come. For just a brief moment, I saw me reaching my full potential the way God has always seen in me. After all, it is He who inspires and instilled in me this abundance of creative ability when I was just an idea in His Divine Mind even before I was conceived in my mother’s womb.
For just a brief moment, I was able to see a mere glimpse of Gods divine plan for my life and in that milla-second of a moment, I became so overwhelmed with joy and moved beyond words in my spirit. Then I received an intense current of energy that I knew with an amazing sense of certainty, was the Infinite Divine Holy presence of Spirit moving though me like a flash of lighting…
And all I could do or say in response to that precious, sacred, immensely profound yet very brief moment…was lift my hands in total praise with tear filled eyes of pure joy, deep gratitude and awe at what I saw. Then with a proclamation of great expectation and conviction in my heart and voice I opened my mouth and said….Thank you Most High God…For you NEVER CEASE to amaze me. Even in a brief moment like this of removing the veil from my eyes and allowing me to clearly see all that you created me to be! In the name and nature of Jesus the Christ...It is done! And So It Is!

The Revelation: A Journey To Self Discovery
When you have come to understand the true essence of your being
and you’re able to express your authentic self with no apologizes to anyone,
When you have learned to keep your heart open to the good no matter
what life throws at you or other people have done...
When you have learned to laugh out loud during a quiet moment
between you & Spirit 'cause you appreciate the unique way God
created you to be…
When you can humbly say, “Thank You God”
‘cause I sure do love me some me.
When you have clearly realized the gift your assets brings
to this earth…
When you no longer need outside validation to prove your
value or worth,
When you have learned to follow wisdom rather than
emotions and that internal is where your true
power resides…
When you can look in the mirror and see the reflection
of the Divine Creator starring back through the windows
of your own eyes,
That’s when you know you’ve come full circle with self.
Then smiling you can say to love and life…And Still… I Rise!!!

What I Know About Love
What I know about love now that I didn’t know before
Is when it comes around knockin’…you’d be wise to answer the door
‘Cause if ignored for too long…it just might keep moving on
Love don’t like being taken for granted....now…that I know for sure
And whatever is the source of your hurt & pain…Honey…love is the cure
And the best kind you can ever find is when it’s straight from the heart, unconditional & pure
Awww…now that kinda love is special and rare
So if you’re lucky enough for it to come ‘round…well…you just best beware
‘Cause it’ll pull you in like a moth to a flame
Have your heart so wide open you’ll forget your own name
Now you can try to run for a while or fight it if you choose
But that’s a fight you’re guaranteed to lose
‘Cause love truly does conquer all…so into its abyss you will surely fall
And when it’s all said and done you will surrender with humility in the end…
It will have its way…Yes…love will surely win
What a powerful thing love is…
No one I’ve ever known has been able to resist
Ooooh and when it comes after you all genuine and true…
It’s the most heavenly feeling of bliss
Now, one other thing I know about love is this…
You often find it in the most obscure and strangest place
But when it’s standing there starring you square in the face
You’d be wise to pursue it at a slow & steady pace
‘Cause it’s the tortoise NOT the hare
every time that wins the race
And no matter what you’ve been told…neither silver, bronze nor gold
Naw…not money or any of that stuff called bling…it’s love I’m tellin’ you
That’s the thing!
And if you know what I know
Should you ever get the chance to hold it
you’ll be a fool to let it go
Cause love can sometimes
be elusive and a bit hard to comprehend
And once gone may take a while
before it comes back around again
Yet when you need it most it always seems to show up
to be your very best kind of friend
Now one last piece of wisdom on love to you I’d like to lend
When it comes you can’t be too stubborn or rigid,
you gotta be flexible…willing to compromise, stretch and bend
So call on love then keep your heart open
And when it finally shows up…let it creep on in
I promise you won’t regret it…
After all, love is the best gift to us
God could ever be so gracious enough to send

The Essence of My Love
My Love is to genuine, abundant & divine
to have it thrown back in my face.
My Love is much to kind and gets even better with time
to give to someone undeserving in haste,
Then like a sweet fine wine watch this precious
love of mine carelessly spilled all over
the floor in waste.
My Love is much to pure to give to one
who’s not sure they can reciprocate the
level of positive energy & commitment I’m givin'.
My Love deserves to have peace, joy & fulfillment
added to not taken away from this journey
called life I’m livin’.
My Love is bestowed upon its recipient on purpose
not by accident or default…and like a prodigy child
who’s talent comes natural from God
not influenced by man or taught,
My love is extraordinary, infinite & eternal…
a blessing to its receiver that cannot be bought.
My Love is an invaluable gift…a top notch prize,
that begins and extends beyond the pleasures
found in the treasures between my voluptuously
caramel coated thighs.
My Love is spiritual, intellectual and emotionally profound
My Love is passionate and intense yet gentle, wise and sound
My Love is beautiful to the eyes of every beholder,
Yet can only be trusted securely in the appreciative hands
of the man that truly understands
a rare jewel has just been found.
